I'm sitting here all alone
Grilling up a big T-bone
I love grilling like I love my mother
I'll bake me a potato slathered with butter

Flames turned up on maximum heat
Sparks flying out gonna burn my feet
Got a drink in my hand, and I'm just chillin'
Taste buds salivatin', stomach is willin'

There ain't a lot I won't throw on the Ducane
It's this leisurely cooking that keeps me sane
From pork to beef and hot dogs too
If it once grazed, I'll throw it on the bar-be-que

The smell of my art brings the neighbors around
Those that can't stand just sit on the ground
But the fire only makes me long for you
And the smoke reminds me of the things we do

People sure love the things I cook
They all wanna know what lessons I took
But I just tell them I'm a savant
I grill things better than a restaurant
